7x summer drinks with Pineo mineral water, fruit, herbs and pure
Water is the ideal thirst quencher: it contains no fat, cholesterol or calories and cools, purifies and hydrates. Partly due to the BOB and tournée mineral campaigns, water plays an increasingly prominent role in today’s drinking culture. And that’s super, because water also has taste and there is still much to discover in that. Because the origin and trajectory of each natural mineral or spring water is different, each mineral water has its own “taste identity. This is determined in part by: temperature, amount of carbon dioxide and mineral composition. Depending on the brand, water can taste salty, sweet, mild, fruity, complex or metallic. And then there is also a difference in ‘flat’, lightly sparkling and fizzy water. We give you in advance 7x refreshing water-with-fruit recipes, in which the artesian mineral water Pineo is the basis.
Pineo water with cucumber, thyme and lemon
- 1/2 cucumber in ribbons
- a few sprigs of thyme
- 4 slices or segments of lemon
- 1 liter of your choice: Pineo Natural (‘flat’) or Pineo Intens (sparkling)
Take a jug and put in a liter of Pineo Natural. If you prefer bubbles, take Pineo Intens. Add the cucumber, thyme and lemon to the water and refrigerate for at least half an hour.
Coconut Water Mocktail with Pineo Intens ice cubes
- A glass of coconut water
- Half a lime
- A sprig of fresh mint
- Ice cubes (from Pineo intense)
Cut the lime into wedges, pour the coconut water into a glass and add mint and ice cubes. Serve immediately.
A really good mocktail or cocktail tastes better with Pineo! Did you know that Pineo was named the World’s Tastiest Water in 2019, winning gold at the prestigious Taste & Design Award 2019 in Stockholm? Already in 2008 Pineo received the label ‘Sehr gut’ from the German consumer association as the only water. Only and exclusively Pineo proved to have no taste defects.
Sparkling strawberry gin cocktail (OK, one with Pineo ánd alcohol)
- 6 – 8 fresh strawberries
- fresh mint
- 1 teaspoon coconut blossom sugar
- 20 ml gin
- 90 ml coconut water
- 90 ml sparkling water (Pineo Intense)
Crush the strawberries, mint and sugar together in a cocktail shaker. Add the gin, coconut water and sparkling water and shake away!
Herbal infusion: Pineo mineral water with star anise, cinnamon and thyme
- 1 liter of mineral water (Pineo Natural)
- 3 pieces of star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 sprig of thyme
Put the ingredients in a pitcher with water and put in the refrigerator. With “tougher” ingredients such as a cinnamon stick or star anise, you do need a bit more patience. Therefore, let the spices steep all night so that you have a delicious, spicy drink in the morning.
Ice tea: Kotobuki Matcha iced tea met Pineo natural
- 1 spoon Kotobuki matcha powder
- 1 glass of cool water (e.g. Pineo natural)
- ice cubes
- few sprigs of mint
- ½ lime
Place the matcha, water, ice cubes, mint and a little lime juice in a shaker cup (or glass jar you can seal) and shake it well, until the matcha powder is nicely dissolved. Top with a sprig of mint and a slice of lime.
Festival Fruit Water: Raspberries, lime, mint and Pineo Intense
- large handful of raspberries
- One sliced lime
- Number of mint leaves
- Sparkling water (Pineo Intens)
For this festively colored version, put a big handful of raspberries in a bottle, add a sliced lime and a few mint leaves. Then add sparkling Pineo mineral water and refrigerate for a while. Stir briefly before serving.
Pineo natural mineral water – Pure
This pure, ‘wild’ water is available in varieties: flat (Natural) and strong (Intense) and thus suitable for any time while eating. It is a soft alkaline water with a mild, velvety taste. Want to fully enjoy Pineo’s unique taste? Then drink it pure from a nice (wine) glass, without ice cubes or lemon. For special moments there is also a limited edition moon water variant: Pineo water that is filled at the source at full moon (Luna Llena)
When to choose Pineo Natural or Pineo Intense?
Pineo Natural (Flat mineral water) does not over-stimulate the taste buds and is therefore ideal with coffee or desserts. Pineo Natural also pairs perfectly with soft wines with low alcohol content. Fresh and fruity white wines, young reds, sparkling wines and low-sugar aperitif drinks.
Pineo Intense (Sparkling mineral water) is perfect as an appetizer or aperitif and goes well with crispy dishes such as tempura. Drink it also to cleanse the palate after eating cheese or chocolate. Pineo Intense also pairs excellently with powerful, round wines. Dry or sweet powerful white or red wines, vintage champagnes, white wines as an aperitif or aperitif drinks with lots of sugar.
